Overview

Take a look at the Colosseum through the eyes of a Gladiator, and then explore the heart of Ancient Rome with a guided walking tour of the Roman Forum.

You will have special access to enter the arena through the Gladiator's gate, to stand in the same place where Gladiators fought, and hear accounts of the ruthless emperors and crowds.

Your guide will lead you through the first and second levels of the Colosseum.

You will then finish your tour at Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, where your guide will again bring the ruins back to life by giving you stories about them.

Colosseum

Meet at the majestic Colosseum. This vast arena once attracted Romans from all backgrounds to witness brutal battles between gladiators and wild beasts. Skip the crowds and enter through the entrance once reserved for gladiators. Step inside the arena—an area normally closed to the public—and discover the thrilling events that took place there centuries ago for entertainment. Finally, walk up the hill to see the palaces on Palatine Hill, right where the famous she-wolf found Romulus and Remus, key to the founding story of Rome. After a special day that makes ancient history come alive, you will leave your group with a stronger tie to the great ruins of Rome. Choosing the 3:30 pm tour at booking will mean your Palatine Hill and Roman Forum tour come before your time inside the Colosseum, and this is what gets you into the SUPER Sites. Normally not open to people with normal tickets, these sites include some of the most beautiful old ruins found anywhere in Rome. One top place here is Casa di Augusto, home to Caesar Augustus with bright wall paintings that can match those seen in Pompeii.
