As per the new rules at the Colosseum, entry tickets are now made by name and require the FULL NAMES OF ALL THE PARTICIPANTS.

Be a first one to try a self-guided experience that combines the entrance ticket to the Colosseum with our Virtual Reality tour using special Oculus glasses by which you will be plunged into the Colosseum as it was seen during Roman times on a very unique animated yet interactive reconstruction of the monument together with its environment.

A multilingual audioguide integrated will take you step by step bringing history to life right before your eyes.

Real, deep, and all-sense fun made for the whole family—learning, teaching, and entertaining for every age group! Because of safety rules, 3D gear can't go inside the Colosseum.

So, the Virtual Reality show will happen outside the building before you go in where tickets are checked.

Meet at the Arch of Constantine, located between the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. This is Rome's largest triumphal arch and was built in 315 by the Roman Senate in honor of Emperor Constantine the Great.

Meet your virtual reality assistant and strap on our innovative Oculus VR headset for an immersive recreation of the Colosseum as it existed during Roman times. Virtually step into the Colosseum Forum as a Roman citizen and marvel at the beautiful monuments that once stood there. Next, enter the Colosseum Arena to witness the thrilling gladiator fights and decide the fate of injured gladiators as the Emperor himself! Finally, explore the mysterious underworld of the Colosseum, where gladiators awaited their duels and slave traders toiled to ensure the success of the show.

After your VR experience, you'll be welcomed into a small group of up to 30 people, enjoying priority entry and skipping the lines. Once inside and having completed the mandatory security checks, you can explore the Colosseum on your own.

  • Any wrong name on the ticket can result in access being denied to both Colosseum and Roman Forum.
  • The virtual reality experience has a designated departure time.
  • In case of late arrival at the meeting point, joining the group will not be possible nor rescheduling feasible unless you pay for the activity again.
  • As per the no-show policy, refunds will not be granted.
  • Due to safety rules, all types of 3D gadgets cannot be carried inside the Colosseum; the virtual reality show takes place outside the building and before going in.
  • There are enforced entrance rules at the Colosseum which involve showing kids or people under 18 to workers and voucher swapping plus a mandatory security check that has to be done; this might mean waiting a bit more before getting into the monument because it is an important requirement that cannot be skipped.
  • The rules about how many people can be in the Colosseum at once say that not more than 3,000 individuals can be inside.
  • This might cause some wait for tours to start and also might not let the tour go on as planned, especially during national holidays, weekends, and peak seasons.
  • Minors need to come with an adult and should bring their passport or some valid identification because the workers at the Colosseum might want to check these documents when they get there.
  • It is smart to wear easy shoes and also carry your own water bottle (no glass bottles, no alcohol allowed).
  • The local operator cannot be blamed for any interruptions caused by the shut down of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, or Roman Forum because of strikes, events, bad weather, and related situations.
  • Bringing bags into the Colosseum and Palatine Hill/Roman Forum is not allowed in any way.
  • Please remember that there are NO places to store luggage.
  • Knives or any cutting instruments are not allowed inside the Colosseum; please make sure you do not bring them with you.
  • This tour operates in all weather conditions and PARTICIPANTS MUST ARRIVE AT THE MEETING POINT 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TIME.
  • All travelers must bring a passport or identification document; the same one that was used when booking; otherwise, entering the Colosseum and Roman Forum may not be possible.
