Forum Romanum is a rectangular plaza surrounded by ruins of many great ancient government buildings at the center of Rome. Since here was the political and business center of olden Rome, much history clings to the worn paths. Citizens gathered here for speeches—they might meet senators or such well-known personages as Julius Caesar and Cicero. The ruins speak a tale—a tale that speaks to what was Rome, its political landscape. Among these ruins stands the old Curia (the Senate) still to be seen in addition to dramatic marble columns of temples that were built first in the 5th century BC.

Palatine Hill (Palatino)
The Palatine Hill is known as the most famous of Rome’s seven hills, a prestigious location abundant with historical value that our guide will fully explain. On the Palatine, you’ll investigate the ancient beginning of Rome and find out which places were considered holy by the Romans since they are connected to legendary occurrences that were essential to the founding of the city.
