What To Expect

Colosseum

See the Colosseum - a grand structure of the old world where Romans sat to watch fighters fight, face wild beasts and, by legend, sea fights too. Learn the stunning story of the Colosseum, a huge stone playhouse that held about 60,000 people and took just eight years to build. Your guide will share interesting stories about its plan and making, the state gains it gave, who fought here plus how at last games stopped in this famed place.

1 hour 30 minutes - Entrance ticket included

2
Roman Forum (Foro Romano)

At the Roman Forum, she will bring to life and explain the myths she will describe for them the popular games of that time and the gods of ancient Rome who are still alive in the zodiac signs of modern astrology. Learn how Saturnalia a pagan festival helped to form Christmas on December 25th as it is celebrated now. And also listen to her story about Lapis Niger (Latin for ‘black stone’) which is known as the world’s most ancient Latin text found within the base of a column inside this very Forum. Walk through the House of the Keepers’ Virgins, who served here for thirty years under different rulers bestowed with almost the same honors as goddesses. Their main duty was to maintain the holy flame of Vesta, which was actually a symbol of the real and true spirit of Rome. As long as this sacred fire kept on burning, according to tales, not only will Rome survive but also triumph.

4
Roman Forum (Foro Romano) (Pass By)

The Temple of Vesta is an ancient edifice at Rome, Italy, in the Roman Forum beside the Regia and House of the Vestal Virgins. Its plan is circular wherein it adopts the origin of Vesta's worship from households. The current temple building contains Greek architectural details—Corinthian columns, marble, and a central cella. From the remains of this building evidence has been found that there were probably twenty Corinthian columns standing on a podium with a diameter of fifteen meters. The roof most probably had an opening at its top through which smoke would escape.

Foro di Cesare (Pass By)

The Forum of Caesar, (Forum Iulium in Latin), is a forum belonging to the famous Imperial Forums of Rome and was the first forum built in this complex. Construction began in 54 B.C. and was completed by Augustus. In 29 B.C. It was later renovated by Trajan and even later by the next year after the fire of 283 A.D. Julius Caesar allocated great wealth gained during his campaign in Gaul, amounting to 60 million sesterces by Cicero and 100 million by Suetonius, used to buy the land and expropriate private properties as well as demolish the structures occupying the area. He also transferred the Curia with its contentious inhabitants. Cicero was directed by Julio Cesar to buy the land on which that forum was going to be built. Roman law had respect such that even emperors did not have rights above contracts.
