Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta

The Knights of Malta Gate at Rome technically offers one between the property of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and St. Peter's Basilica perfectly aligned in the distance. The gate is located on Aventine Hill as part of Villa del Priorato di Malta, which serves as the embassy for Order to Holy See, belonging to a Catholic lay religious order and sovereign entity dating from the 11th century and originally oriented toward providing care for pilgrims in Jerusalem. This keyhole view has, over time, attracted tourists and photographers with its exciting vantage point offering a shot at once embracing the greatness of Rome as well as getting into the spiritual significance that played such historical importance with this Order within that very city.

Fontana dell'Acqua Paola

The Fontana dell'Acqua Paola is known as the Big Fountain. It sits on Janiculum Hill in Rome, Italy. In the early 1600s, Pope Paul V asked for it to be built. This fountain shows off its large size and views of the city scale with beautiful looks at the city. Its style comes from old Roman designs and has a main door with water running through it, between two smaller doors on each side. The Fontanone is loved by both locals and travelers who want to see wide views of Rome or enjoy peaceful beauty and calm surroundings.

Terrazza del Gianicolo

The Gianicolo Hill is a beautiful rise located in the west of Rome, Italy. It does not count among the famous Seven Hills of Rome but offers great panoramic views over the city and attracts many locals as well as tourists. It has a rather peaceful character with shaded paths and lovely gardens where one can have a walk, find places for picnics, and enjoy some history at Fontana dell'Acqua Paola or Janiculum Terrace. Here on this hill are several monuments to be found also, such as statues for Garibaldi and Anita paying homage to their fight in the movement of unification of Italy. The Janiculum Hill is an ideal location for retreating from city noise to appreciate marvelous scenes over Roman roofs. The terrace at Gianicolo will give you a taste that will leave you yearning for more.
